Es bueno recordar que la lucha de las mujeres por ser reconocidas como ciudadanas con pleno derechos pol\u00edticos es de muy larga data. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se puede mencionar a la Revoluci\u00f3n Francesa;, en el siglo XIX al Movimiento Sufragista por el voto femenino en Inglaterra y en Estados Unidos, irradi\u00e1ndose estas luchas a Am\u00e9rica Latina, siendo Ecuador el primero que lo logr\u00f3 en 1926. La lucha por el voto femenino en Venezuela tiene una larga trayectoria, pero pueden destacarse algunas fechas de este proceso:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25aa\ufe0f8 de mayo de 1944: El Comit\u00e9 Pro Sufragio Femenino toma las calles de Caracas para exigir sus derechos. J\u00f3vito Villalva toma la palabra en el Congreso Nacional para apoyar la reforma de la Constituci\u00f3n en favor del voto femenino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25aa\ufe0f15 de marzo de 1945: La Junta de Gobierno, mediante decreto, concede el Derecho del Sufragio Universal a todos los venezolanos mayores de 18 a\u00f1os sin excepci\u00f3n, que ya estaba consagrado en el Estatuto Electoral de 1945.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25aa\ufe0f27 de octubre de 1946: las mujeres venezolanas ejercen por primera vez su derecho a votar y a ser elegidas para cargos p\u00fablicos de elecci\u00f3n popular.
